This gentleman liked the look of our wicking beds but just wanted a standard open-bottomed raised bed rather than wicking, as it was for a property being rented out. We installed it in a sunny spot, but not having a self-watering reservoir underneath it will require watering. But for natives or drought tolerant plants this is not a problem.
