Hurlstone Agricultural College

A NSW Government project to update the on-site farm at Hurlstone Agricultural College involved commissioning us to install 18 large wicking beds for educational purposes.

This provides a massive 82 square metres of sub-irrigated growing area which will provide a phenomenal volume of produce once our nutritious wicking mix settles in.

And because these beds only need topping up every few weeks, school holidays will not present many issues to the vegetables in-progress.

We look forward to seeing these brimming with vegetables once the final landscaping is finished.



A teaching farm needs to keep producing through term breaks and hot Western Sydney summers, which is exactly what a large run of self-watering raised beds delivers, topping up only every few weeks. At Hurlstone Agricultural College this gives students a serious, hands-on growing facility.

Once the rich mix settles in, beds on this scale produce a remarkable volume of food across the seasons. Built from durable, food-safe timber, they are made to last in a working farm setting.
