This was a third install for a customer whom we had installed wicking beds for previously.

This time, they wanted some open-bottomed planters for natives and other screening plants. Wicking was not required for this, but they wanted the beds to match.

Three beds with trellis were installed along the back fence of the property, taking care to align the trellis at the same height.

On the bushland fringe of Bangor, screening and native planting often matter as much as vegetables, and matching open-bottomed and wicking beds lets one design do both. Run along a fence with aligned trellis, as here, the beds give privacy and structure while still leaving room to grow.

It shows how flexible a raised garden bed system can be across a whole Bangor garden, from self-watering vegetable beds to planters for screening. All are built from the same durable, food-safe timber, made to last. UrbanVeg builds raised garden beds and self-watering planters across Bangor and the Sutherland Shire.
