Sub-Irrigation is Key to Higher Veggie Yields!

Veggies grow better when watered from below. Their roots grow deeper, the dry surface reduces pests and disease, and they are so water efficient you only need to top up with water now and again.

With the right blended growing medium, water will wick up to 30cm above the reservoir. We use a unique blend of volcanic rock, coir and biochar to keep your veggies supplied with the water and air they need, even when you are away on holiday!

Urban Veggie Crew are proud to use WaterUps in the base of our beds. WaterUps provide a great wicking ratio with superior water capacity to other methods. And by keeping organic matter out of the water reservoir, anaerobic activity is all but eliminated.
