A lady from Glenorie engaged us to build a couple of high beds for her father to allow him to continue gardening with the benefit less bending, no digging and weeding, plus no heavy watering cans!

Trellis was added to grow climbing vegetables having given some thought to sun position and a few other considerations.

When placing trellis along the long side of a freestanding bed, we usually leave a gap in the middle for easy access to both sides of the bed.

On the big country blocks around Glenorie, tall raised beds bring the garden up to a comfortable height and make growing easier for everyone, including older gardeners. A self-watering bed holds its own water through the dry Hills summers, so it keeps producing even when no one is out there every day.
