A lady in Gledswood Hills commissioned us to do a single low bed in a large yard, so she could experiment with growing vegetables in a wicking bed.

When sitting on smooth, level ground, these beds can be installed low, with the liner and water reservoir sitting on the ground rather than a sub-floor.

They can still be filled with an attached hose once a month and hold just as much water as our taller beds.

This is an extremely sunny spot, so most of the bed will receive full sun all year round.

The open, sunny blocks of Gledswood Hills and the Macarthur growth corridor are well suited to a raised bed, and starting with a single low one is an easy way to try growing for the first time. Self-watering and low-maintenance, it lets a new gardener get good results with almost no ongoing effort.

In this bright position it will grow a full range of vegetables and herbs. Built from durable, food-safe timber, this self-watering raised bed is made to last. UrbanVeg builds raised garden beds and vegetable garden beds across Gledswood Hills and the Macarthur region.
