This customer wanted a wicking bed for each child to grow their own vegetables in! We built them with a bench seat on the front of each for the kids to sit on, and at 0.45m tall they are the perfect height for budding little veggie gardeners!

Both beds are self watering via a hose attachment in the base, and may even be connected together during filling to allow the high bed to fill the lower one.

Giving each child their own low raised bed is a lovely way to get Castlecrag kids growing, easy to reach and easy to look after. A built-in seat and a forgiving, self-watering design mean even young gardeners get good results without much help.
