A gentleman in Caringbah wanted to grow some vegetables in his back yard. The original spot he requested was not optimal for sunlight during a portion of the year, so we agreed it would be better against a wall at the back of the garden.
The bed is a nice height to avoid bending whilst gardening, and the height allows additional sunlight that clears the fence opposite to hit the surface of the bed.

Many established Caringbah gardens have mature trees and fences that throw long shadows in winter, so lifting the soil up in a taller raised bed is often the simplest way to reach the available sun.
